Problem with update Cadabra2-2.1.0-trusty.deb on 3 Jan 2016

Question 1

I am using the new update Cadabra2-2.1.0 on ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS. Whenever I try to open a saved file, the window for cadabra closes altogether. I restored to the update cadabra2-2.0.1028.bf69f6e-trusty.deb and things were fine. Checked this by uninstalling and installing these two versions a few times. I think there is some problem. How can one fix it?

Can you try 2.1.2 which is now available for download, and let me know if that solves the problem? Thanks.
